and Conditions
Holidays,
flights and hotels
booked through ClinganTravel.com, and the
Holiday Clubs are
governed by Clingan Travel’s Terms and Conditions. These are
set out below.
Should
you require any clarification of these Terms and Conditions, please
ask a travel consultant at the time of making your booking.
These
terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a
consumer.
Insurance
It is a condition of booking with every tour operator that you must
have adequate insurance cover. Insurance will ensure that you are
properly covered against unexpected cancellation charges, medical
costs that might be incurred while you're away, loss of money, or
belongings, or personal liability claims and curtailment. Please
note that the cover offered by most credit card companies is not
normally adequate for package holiday or holiday flight bookings.
E111 forms are also used in conjunction with travel insurance and
should not be used instead of.
If you require insurance cover, Clingan Travel will be pleased
to arrange it at the time of booking, though it is not compulsory to
take our insurance it is highly recommended.
Date
Of Cover
Clients are covered from the date that the insurance is paid,
normally at time of booking.
Insurance
Warranty
1. Prior to and at the time of effecting the insurance if purchased
through Clingan Travel you must confirm:
(a) That you are not aware of any reason why the holiday should be
cancelled or curtailed;
(b) That no person to be covered by the insurance policy is
receiving or awaiting treatment as a hospital in-patient or on any
medical waiting lists;
(c) That no person is travelling against the advice of their doctor
or for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment or where a
terminal prognosis has been given;
(d) That if you or any other member of your party has received
treatment as a hospital in-patient during the six months prior to
booking you/they have obtained medical opinion as to the
advisability of taking the holiday; (e) That no person is pregnant.
2.
You will advise us immediately if any of the above arise after
purchasing our insurance.
Correct
Spelling of Names, Titles All names, titles and initials of those travelling should be correctly
given at the time of booking and must be exactly as it is on their
passports. Changes cannot be made at a later date without incurring
extra charges. Please note too, that correct ages are required for
insurance cover within the following bands: (Under 2) (2-18), (Over
69).
Costings
All costings are subject to final confirmation as on the Tour
Operator invoice. Errors and omissions are excepted. Children's
discounts are all subject to the correct age of the child being
given as at the last date of the holiday.
Passports
All clients must be in possession of a full 10-year passport. You
MUST inform Clingan Travel if you are travelling on a British
Subject's Passport. All persons must now have their own passport
including babies. On a family passport the lead name must travel.
Please make sure that your passport has at least 6 months validity
from the date of your return journey.
It
is your responsibility to ensure all passports are valid.
UK Passport Office
Visas
The following applies to EC passport holders. Visas are required to
be purchased in advance for certain countries, including Egypt and
India. Other countries, including Israel and Turkey require tourist
single entry visas to be purchased on arrival. If you are not
travelling on an EC passport, other rules may apply. Please check
with Clingan Travel for advice or contact the embassy of the country
you're travelling to or click here. It is also recommended to
recheck visa requirements at least 6 weeks prior to departure to
ensure that the regulations have not changed.
Visas
It
is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate visas for the
destination you intend to visit.
Medical
Advice
Please ensure that you ask a doctor for any medical advice
applicable to the countries you will visit.
Travel advice
Foreign Office - Please
make sure you have checked the relevant foreign office advice for
your chosen destinations
Discounts
and Gifts
Discounts and gifts only apply if the balance payment is paid to Clingan Travel on or before the date on the
Clingan Travel
invoice - Normally 10 weeks prior to departure or for bookings
within 10 weeks of travel full payment at time of booking. If
payment is not received, discounts and gifts will be removed.
Balance reminders are not normally issued.
Tour
Operators' Booking Conditions/Fair Trading Terms
Please ensure that you have read the booking conditions, which are
in your tour Operator's brochure. Please note once a booking is
confirmed to you, you are immediately bound by the terms and
conditions of that tour operator. This includes their cancellation
policy and forbids any changes or refunds without penalty.
Ratings.
Clingan Travel is an independent travel agent, we do not give
ratings for hotels or apartments. We are only given guidance by the
tour operators ratings.
Flight
Timings
All flight timings are provisional and subject to change. These
will be confirmed on receipt of tickets. Please take this into
account when making travel arrangements to and from your chosen UK
departure airport. You
will be informed of any major change. Please ensure you
reconfirm your flights directly with airline 72hrs before your
onward / return travel.
Square
Deals - Sun Deals - Late Deals When
this type of late holiday is booked, you should be familiar with the
Tour Operator's extra conditions.
Explorer
Holidays - These are holidays for the independent traveller and
is usually a flight with one nights accommodation allocated on
arrival.
Credit
and Debit Card Payments For all bookings, credit card charges are 2.5%, There is no charge for
debit card payments.
When Do I Pay? Normally we can accept deposits for bookings that are made
outside 10 weeks. The deposit is approximately £125.00 per
person however this varies by Destination and Tour Operator and is
due at the time of booking. Balances are Due 10 Weeks prior to
departure, we will debit the card made to place the deposit
automatically, unless other arrangements have made prior to the balance due
date. Balance due reminders are not sent.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be in writing by

When
a holiday is cancelled after full payment has been made, any
discount taken must be repaid and claimed back from your insurance
company.
Other
Service Charges
Clingan Travel will make the following charges in addition to
any tour operator charges.
Amendment: £10 per person for amendments to booking.
Cancellation: £10 per person except when cancellation charge
is 100%, no charge will be made.
Delivery
Times and Pricing For bookings made 1 to 21 days before travel, tickets are collected
from the departure airport on the day of travel. For bookings made
over 21 days before travel, tickets will be posted 7-10 days prior
to departure by first class post.
Prices
The prices for delivery of your tickets are included in the price,
except where the tickets are allocated "Ticket On
Departure". In this case you will be advised of the charge at
time of booking as the charge varies depending on the tour operator.
(Scheduled flights postage charges are per the booking screen)
Taxes For
the most part all government taxes are included in the price however
some airports may charge an exit tax that will not be included as
they have to be paid locally. We can only advise if this is the case
for British passport holders and you should check with the relevant
airport authorities before travel.
Goa The
Indian government authorities will not permit Indian passport holders to
travel on Charter Flights only.
Data
Protection Act
Clingan Travel is registered under the above act.
Data Protection
Statement. In order to process your booking and to ensure that
your travel arrangements run smoothly
and meet your requirements we Clingan Travel, need to use the
information you provide (such as name, address, and special
need/dietary requirements etc). We take full responsibility for
entrusting that proper security measures are in place to protect
your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant
suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels,
transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to
public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them,
or as required by law. Additionally, where your holiday is outside
the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in
your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements
in this country. We will not however, pass any information onto any
person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This
applies to any sensitive information that you give such as details
of disabilities, or dietary /religious requirements. (if we
cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in
the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking. In Making this
booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the
relevant persons.)
Credit
Card Fraud
In order to prevent credit card fraud Clingan Travel does an identity check
against all credit cards. An
electronic note, or "footprint" is left on your credit
record to say that an identity check has been done, but it does NOT
affect the customer's credit rating and is not used as part of the
credit vetting process or the information sold to third parties.
Database
all enquiries by email from our website
will be added to our database. This can be used to send our weekly
newsletter and other details that think may be of interest to you.
We will under no circumstances pass or sell your email to any other
company. If you do not want your email address added please notify a
a member of staff. |
